SPORTFIVE partnered with Be Media and Animoca Brands to launch Onside — the first official NFT digital collectibles for ASEAN football — timed to the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022.
We brought the region’s premier football tournament into Web3, minting and distributing licensed digital collectibles on the Polygon blockchain using official tournament assets and match highlights. The platform introduced fans to officially sanctioned NFTs, including iconic moments and stylised digital items, with future utility spanning real-world experiences, game-day access, and rewards within the Animoca ecosystem.
The project marked a first for Southeast Asian football and positioned SPORTFIVE at the forefront of fan engagement, digital ownership, and blockchain-enabled sports experiences.
