A Luxe Film Proposal
The Waldorf Astoria Platte Island is a different kind of Seychelles experience. Away from it all. A water wonderland. Untouched. An eco-sanctuary. Outside of time.
Our story will follow a young couple floating through their dreamy experience on the island as they connect with each other, disconnect from their busy lives and discover a luxury world like no other in Platte Island.
This exclusive film and photography campaign for Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island seeks to:
Drive direct site bookings
Increase long-term brand value and prestige
Further develop the property’s personality
Clarify the uniqueness of the offering
Elevate beyond the sea hospitality content
Establish the island as a MUST visit
The following is an indicative script and visual treatments that will be further developed in consultation with the Platte Island Marketing team to ensure it’s brand aligned and reflects the target market, the vision and detail of the offering.
Title: Land on Water
To land…
…
…to drift…
…on water…
…on ancient shores…
…to float on air…
…suspending time…
…to lose ourselves…
…in a world away

While Platte Island will have its very own visual identity and flow, these references will certainly inspire elements of the creative.
Deliverables
Production runs through a high-end cinema pipeline using Arri systems — the same standard trusted across feature film and luxury commercial work. Motion and stills are captured simultaneously, creating a unified visual language across the property campaign, brand presence, social, website, press, and future residences presentations.
The intention is work that rises above the saturation of standard hotel content. Enduring rather than disposable — a lasting asset that elevates the property and the brand behind it.
Upon completion the film premieres across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and all relevant digital channels, with the share-ability and organic conversation it's designed to generate, alongside the option to activate across paid distribution.
1 × Hero Film (60-2min)
3-6 × Social edits for paid and organic media
20-30 edited photos
1 year unlimited usage across all media
The typical timeline runs 3 to 4 weeks from pre-production through to final delivery.
The director and DOP will rece the island for 1 day. The shoot itself 2-4 days day with a potential half day for pickups. Depending on scope, cast and crew will be 5 to 7 people and may require some light involvement from hotel staff.
Accommodation and catering from the property will help streamline the process.
Production
Investment
Again, this is not videography work. It's a premium, director-led production with cinema equipment, proper talent, crew, art direction, colour grade, sound design, and priced accordingly.
Steve has led productions at $500K+ but equally knows how to make a leaner productions punch well above their weight.
With the awareness that a production like this involves budget allocation and internal approvals, let's discuss numbers and shape the scope around what works for the marketing team at Hilton.
Creative (Director)
Steve is an advertising writer and art director with over a decade of experience across award-winning agencies (R/GA, VML, JWT) and international brands including Qantas, Hawaiian Airlines & Tourism Fiji — with work spanning TV, digital and integrated campaigns.
He is also an independent film director, with projects featured in Academy Accredited festivals and recognised with Vimeo Staff Picks.
Operating at the intersection of agency and production, Steve brings together strategic brand thinking and end-to-end cinematic execution.
